Then calibrate the Deluxe Joystick for the Flight Simulator version (4.0 or 5.0) you are using. PUTTING THE DELUXE JOYSTICK IN THE CALIBRATION POSITION 1. Allow the Deluxe Joystick to return to the self-centered position, with both X and Y trimmers in the center position. 2. RECALIBRATING SOFTWARE IN FLIGHT If your aircraft crashes, Flight Simulator takes another calibration reading of the Deluxe Joystick. If the Deluxe Joystick is in any position besides the calibration position, it might not perform as intended. For example, if the Throttle Control is in the Maximum position when the aircraft crashes, Flight simulator resets itself with the Throttle Control in that position. The Deluxe Joystick will not work correctly until it is re-calibrated in the calibration position. To recalibrate the Deluxe Joystick in flight while using Flight Simulator 4.0: 1. Place the Deluxe Joystick in the calibration position. 2. Type 4 for the Simulator menu, then E for the joystick menu. You are now in the Joystick Calibration menu. 3. Type 1 until a cross appears next to the Joystick A-Yoke A option. 4. Type 3 until a cross appears next to the Joystick B-Throttle/Rudder option. 5. Type 4. The Deluxe Joystick is calibrated. NOTE: Flight Simulator gives no indication that the Deluxe Joystick is now calibrated. 6. Hit ESC twice. The Deluxe Joystick is ready for use. To recalibrate the Deluxe Joystick in flight while using Flight Simulator 5.0: 1. Place the Deluxe Joystick in the calibration position. 2.
