VGM-510 (250-4097) Power Management Faxback Doc. # 15819 Your VGM-510 meets the Display Power Management Signalling (DPMS) Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) and the Energy Star power-saving levels recommended by the United States (EPA). DPMS conserves electricity by reducing power consumption when you are not using the monitor. DPMS-compatible computers automatically set the monitor to standby or suspend when the computer is inactive for a programmable amount of time. It also reduces power usage to only 5 watts (1/12 the power used by a standard ligt bulb) when you turn off your c9omputer (see your computer's owner's manal for information about enabling and setting the DPMS modes). The following table summarizes the power-saving modes: POWER MODE │ DISPLAY │ MAXIMUM POWER │ NOTE │ │ CONSUMPTION │ ─────────────┼───────────────┼─────────────────┼──────────────────────── ON │ Active │ 100 Watts │ Normal Use ─────────────┼───────────────┼─────────────────┼──────────────────────── Stand-by │ Off │ 25 Watts │Fastest display recovery ─────────────┼───────────────┼─────────────────┼──────────────────────── Suspend │ Off │ 15 Watts │Slower display recovery │ │ │More power savings. ─────────────┼───────────────┼─────────────────┼──────────────────────── OFF │ Off │ 5 Watts │Longest display recovery │ │ │time.
