DMP-204 (260-2883) Bi-Directional Printing Faxback Doc. # 16698 DMP-204 and problems printing on Computer Systems that have the Parallel port set to Unidirectional. In order to print without an error from Windows or MS-DOS on the DMP-204, you will need to make sure that the Parallel Port on the computer is set to Bi-directional. The default on the Sensation and the 2500SX/33, for example, is Bi-directional [N]. From MS-DOS, you may experience the error "Error writing to device PRN". From within Windows, the Print Manager cannot print to LPT1 and it may ask to increase transmission timeout in the WIN.INI file. With the parallel port set to Bi-directional [Y], you will not experience these problems with the DMP 204. (ABO/all-08/24/95)
