Hard Disk Upgrade Kit

Western Digital's hard drive technologies are customer-focused to bring
users affordable, high-capacity storage solutions.  Each enhanced IDE
(EIDE) hard drive comes with a three-year warranty and has been fully
tested to ensure compatibility, reliability and exceptional quality.

Western Digital's EIDE hard drives provide the increased data transfer
rates and higher capacities in systems that are EIDE ready.  Some of the
features of EIDE are:

 * Higher capacities - up to 8.4 GB per device

 * Support for four EIDE devices per system including IDE CD-ROM (ATAPI)
   and IDE tape drives

 * Faster host data transfer rates

 * Easier setup and autodetection of drives

 * Compatible with standard IDE drives

Because of its compact size (1-inch high), the Western Digital hard drive
is easily incorporated into the newest generation of small desktop and
transportable PC/AT systems.  The Western Digital hard drive is a 3.5-inch
hard drive that can be used in a 3.5-inch drive bay or in a 5.25-inch drive
bay using the 5.25-inch mounting hardware included.

Western Digital hard drives contain an automatic head parking feature that
parks the drive heads in a safe, non-data area when the system power is
turned off.  This makes the drive less vulnerable to damage caused by
mechanical shock and vibration.  Care should always be taken when handling
any hard drive.
