Set 1 to ON for a sheet feeder. Switch 2: Determines the graphics print density. When switch 2 is OFF, the printer prints in a higher density graphics print image (full bit-mapped print). When switch 2 is ON, the printer does not print the odd bits in mapped odd slices or even bits in mapped even slices. Switch 3: When switch 3 is ON, the printer makes an automatic line feed when receiving a CR code. Off the printer will not add a line feed. Switch 4: Determines Page length. OFF is 11 inch paper, ON is 12 inch paper. Switch 5: Determines the Character Set. OFF is IBM character Set 1, ON is IBM character Set2. Switch 6: When switch 6 is ON, the printer makes an automatic carriage return after a line feed is performed. OFF the printer will not add a carriage return. Switch 7: When switch 7 is ON, the printer accepts high resolution 24-dot all point addressable (APA) graphics commands similar to those used with the conventional 24-dot printers. Switch 8: Determines the buffer/download memory size. OFF is 37KB/OKB, ON is 3KB/34KB Switch 9: This printer has two character fonts-USA code page 437 for US character set (OFF), and multilingual code page 850 for European character set(ON). Select the appropriate code page for your country. Switch 10: is OFF. Switch 11: is OFF ┌───────────────────┐ │Canon BJ130e Mode: │ └───────────────────┘ Same Functions as IBM Emulation Mode. Switch 6 7 and 8: You can select one of eight international character sets. See table A for each country option. Switch 9 and 10: You can select one of three different font styles. See table B for each font choice. Switch 11: is ON Changing Function Switch Settings: Note: Turn off the printer before you change any of the switches. (Or, if you prefer, set the switches while the printer is on. Then turn the printer off and then on again. This cycling of the power causes the printer to recognize the new function switch settings.) To change the function switch settings, do the following. 1. Set POWER to OFF. 2. Open the printer cover. 3. Use the tip of a ball-point pen or similar object to move the switch. Replace the printer cover. (jej 04/26/94)
