Tandy DMP 250 (26-2886) Paper Parking Faxback Doc. # 4229 Paper parking is a convenient feature which allows you to switch quickly between fanfold paper and single sheets. To use it, your fanfold paper must be fed with the push tractor (from the rear side of the printer). It works by backing the fanfold paper out of the printer to a position where it is no longer touching the platen. However, the paper remains in the tractor, ready to feed into the printer. ┌──────────────────────────────┐ │To "park" your fanfold paper: │ └──────────────────────────────┘ 1. Be sure the printer is off line. 2. Press PARK/LOAD. The paper retracts to the parking position. The paper might not reach the parking position if it had previously been advanced too far. In this case, press PARK/LOAD until the paper moves into the parking position. You can easily change from the push tractor mode to the single-sheet mode without removing the tractor unit or the paper if you push the paper lever toward the rear side of the printer. The function of PARK/LOAD varies depending on the current paper position. ° If the paper is in the tear-off position, pressing PARK/LOAD moves it to the park position. ° If the paper is in the park position, pressing PARK/LOAD moves it to the TOF position (loads the paper). ° If the paper is in the TOF position, pressing PARK/LOAD moves it to the tear-off position. ∞
