Press SELECT when the SPECIAL/SET? message appears after the CHR TABLE menu group. The settings in this menu are common to all four macros. The setup menu option will display on the LCD as follows: Group Item Set SPECIAL OPTN RAM BUFFER, DOWNLOAD Note: BUFFER is the default mode. The optional RAM can be used in one of two ways for the IBM emulation of the DMP-240. The additional 32-K byte RAM area can be used as an additional receive buffer (BUFFER), or an IBM font download area (DOWNLOAD). The Epson mode of the printer will only allow the optional ram to be used as an additional receive buffer (BUFFER). If (DOWNLOAD) is selected, the optional RAM area is disabled. (css 07/27/93)
