PRINTING:
Before printing configure software for HP LaserJet Series II by telling the
application what type of printer driver to use.
If the software does not support the HP LaserJet Series II, select a printer
emulation which is supported by the software. (Refer to "Menu Settings").

NOTE: The LP-950 sends a busy signal to the computer when the printer's
buffer gets full. This might cause some software programs to display an
error message such as "printer not ready."  To avoid this include:
    mode lpt1:,,p
in the autoexec.bat file so the computer continuously retries when a printer
timeout occurs.

AUTOMATIC-FEED PRINTING:
Be sure the MANUAL indicator is off. The LP-950 will not load paper from 
the tray while it is in manual mode.
     1-Turn on the printer.
     2-Make sure it is ON-LINE.
     3-Give the print command from the software.
The DATA indicator light will light if the printer is receiving information
from the computer. After the LP-950 receives a page of data from the 
computer it loads a sheet of paper from the tray. It will not begin to print
until it receives the complete page of information. If a page contains font 
changes or graphics, this might take several minutes.

MANUAL-FEED PRINTING:
The LP-950 can accept single sheets of paper, transparency film, or envelopes
through he manual feed slot. The default paper size for manual-feeding is
standard letter size. To feed transparency film, business-size envelopes, or
non-standard paper sizes, select the appropriate value from the menu settings.
     1-Turn on the printer.
     2-Make sure it is OFF-LINE.
     3-Fold down the face-up tray on the back of the printer.
     4-Press [MENU] until TRAY=LETTER appears on the display.
     5-Press [+] or [-] until MANUAL FEED appears on the display.
     6-Press [ENTER/RESET MENU] once. The LP-950's MANUAL indicator turns on.
     7-To print non-standard paper sizes, press the [MENU] button until the
       display shows MANUAL=LETTER. This is the default setting. Press [+]
       or [-] to select the correct value for your paper size.
     8-Insert paper lengthwise into the manual-feed slot. The side facing up
       is the printing side. The paper is drawn in automatically.
     9-Press [ON LINE] so that the ON LINE indicator lights.
    10-Give the print command from your software.

    11-Press [ON LINE] to set the printer off-line.
    12-Press [MENU] until MANUAL FEED appears on the display.
    13-Press [+] or [-] until TRAY=LETTER appears on the display.
    14-Press [ENTER/RESET MENU]. The MANUAL indicator goes out.
