                            IMPORTANT

Tandy 1000 and 1000A (250-1000/A) with 25-1037, 2400 BPS Internal Modem

There is a modification needed to be made to the Tandy 1000 or 1000A in 
order for the 25-1037 modem to work. This modem requires a -5 volt connect-
ion through the card slot that the Tandy 1000 and 1000A do not have.

Without the modification to the 1000 the modem will pickup the telephone
line, dial a number, but will not go any further. No connection is made and
communication is not possible. The modification can be done by an
authorized Radio Shack service center.
