CONTRAST

Adjust this control for the proper contrast level.

BRIGHTNESS

Adjust this control for overall brightness of the display screen.

CAUTION: If the same characters or graphics are shown for a long time with
         the contrast and brightness controls set to their maximum
         positions, the screen might be damaged. Use these controls with
         care.

MICROPROCESSOR-CONTROLLED ADJUSTMENTS

Your VGM-500 senses the timing signals from your computer and
automatically adjusts the picture's size and position. You can adjust the
screen to suit your own preferences using the control buttons. About 5
seconds after your last adjustment, the monitor stores your setting and
uses your setting when it detects matching timing signals.

NOTE: When you begin making adjustments, the power indicator changes from
      green to orange. When the monitor store the adjustments, the
      indicatorchanges back to green.

Press this button for the proper horizontal position of the display.
Then press + to move the display to the right or - to move it to the left.

Press this button for the proper vertical position of the display. Then
press + to move the display up or - to move it down.

HORIZONTAL SIZE: [<->]

Press this button for the desired width of the display. Then press +
to widen the display or - to narrow it.

VERTICAL SIZE: [up/down arrow]

Press this button for the desired vertical size of the display. Then press
+ to increase the display's vertical size or - to decrease it.

SIDE PINCUSHION: [sides bowed in]

Press this button to correct the vertical lines on the display from bowing
out or in. Then press + to make the display's vertical lines curve out or
- to make them curve in.

SPECIAL ADJUSTMENTS:

PARALLELOGRAM:

Press and hold down HORIZONTAL POSITION. Then, press VERTICAL POSITION for
4-5 seconds so the power indicator's color changes from orange and back to
green. Then press + to adjust to the right when the vertical sides are
tilt-ed left or - to adjust to the left when the vertical sides are tilted
right.

TRAPEZOID:

Press and hold down HORIZONTAL POSITION. Then press HORIZONTAL SIZE for 4-
5 seconds so that the power indicator's color changes from orange and back
to green. Then press + to increase the size of the lower part of the
display or - to decrease the size of the lower part of the display.

CLEAR: >[]<

Press this button for 2-3 seconds to reset.

NOTE: This operation only affects the current mode.
