Speaker System

The Optimus-50 is designed with a special ferrofluid-cooling system that
was originally developed for the U.S. space program.  Ferrofluid is a
magnetic fluid that conducts heat build-up away form the voice-coil and
"sinks" it into the speaker structure.  This heat sink lets the Optimus-50
handle higher peak levels of power without the burnout or distortion that
may accompany mechanical stresses caused by heat rise.

The back portion of the midrange element is left open to radiate sound to
the room rather than absorb within the system or element enclosure.  This
allows an increase in spaciousness to the sound which contributes to the
life-like sound quality of Realistic Optimus-50.
