AMX 20 Wireless Speakers (400-1364) Operation Faxback Doc. # 15848 Follow these steps to use your AMX 20 speakers. 1. Turn on your audio source. 2. Adjust the transmitter's LEVEL control. If you connected the transmitter to jacks that are not controlled by the audio source's volume control, rotate LEVEL all the way to the left. Then slowly adjust LEVEL to the right until the AUDIO LEVEL indicator just starts to flicker. If you connected the AMX 20 to a headphone jack to jacks that are controlled by the audio source's volume control, set the audio source's volume control to about 1/2 of the maximum and rotate LEVEL all the way to the right. Then slowly adjust LEVEL until the AUDIO LEVEL indicator just starts to flicker. NOTE: Some audio sources might not make the AUDIO LEVEL indicator flicker. For these sources, simply rotate LEVEL all the way to the left. 3. Set each speaker's POWER ON/OFF switch to ON. 4. Set each speaker's mode switch as follows: L - For the left stereo speaker. R - For the right stereo speaker. MONO - If your source is mono. 5. Rotate VOLUME on each speaker until you hear either the program source or a hissing. 6. Slowly turn TUNING on each speaker until you get the best reception of the program source. NOTE: If reception is poor, even when the speakers are near the transmitter, try raising the transmitter or moving it away from the audio source. 7. Set each speaker's volume to a comfortable and balanced listening level. Be sure to turn off the speakers when you are not using them. ADJUSTING THE FREQUENCY If you receive interference from other devices, you might be able to reduce the interference by adjusting the AMX 20's operating frequency. Simply rotate FREQ ADJUST on the transmitter then rotate TUNING on each speaker until the audio is free from interference. (ALL-07/12/95)
