PRO-100 (330-1145) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 16037

INSTALLING THE TRANSMITTER

You need to properly install the transmitter to fully enjoy the PRO-100's
benefits.

Connecting to Your Audio Source

You can connect the transmitter either to line-level phono jacks such as
tape out jacks or a headphones jack on your audio source.

CAUTION: Do not connect the transmitter to the audio source's speakers
output. Doing so damages the transmitter.

Follow these steps to connect to phone jacks.

1. Connect the supplied patch cord to the transmitter's L and R AUDIO
    jacks.

2. Connect the other end of the patch cord to the audio source's left and
right audio out jacks. Use the cord's color coding to ensure you
connect left to left and right to right.

Follow these steps to connect to a headphone jack.

CAUTION: Do not turn the audio source's volume beyond about 1/3 of
maximum. Doing so could damage the transmitter.

1. Connect the supplied Y-cable's red connector to the transmitter's R
AUDIO jack and the black connector to the L AUDIO jack.

2. Plug the other end of the Y-cable into the stereo's headphone jack.

NOTE: If the Y-adapter is too small for the headphone jack, use the
supplied 1/8 to 1/4 inch adapter.

Connecting to Power

Plug the supplied AC adapter's barrel plug into the transmitter's DC 18V
jack. Then plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet.

CAUTION: You must use a UL-listed, Class 2 AC adapter that provides 18
volts and at least 150 milliamps and its plug's center tip must
be positive. The supplied adapter meets these specifications.
Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could
damage the adapter or the transmitter.
