PRO-100 (330-1145) Battery Faxback Doc. # 16039 REPLACING THE BATTERY PACK When operation time on a full charge becomes too short, you must replace the battery pack. You can order a replacement battery pack through your local Radio Shack store. Follow these steps to replace the battery pack. 1. Turn off the headphones. 2. Carefully pull back the foam earpad from the earcup that has the ON/OFF switch to expose each screw. Do not remove the foam earpad. 3. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the three screws. 4. Carefully remove the plastic case with the speaker attached. CAUTION: Take care not to damage the wires going to the earcup's speaker. 5. Unplug the old battery's connector from the headphone and remove the battery. 6. Plug the new battery's connector into the headphone. Then secure the battery in the headphone using double-sided tape. 7. Secure the case using the screws you removed in Step 3. Cautions for Replacing the Battery Use a replacement battery pack of the required type (3.6V 280 mAH rechargeable battery, Cat. No. 23-192, available through your local Radio Shack store). Do not dispose of the battery pack in a fire because it can explode. Do not open or mutilate the battery pack. Be careful not to short the battery pack by touching the connector with conducting materials, such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery pack or conductor might overheat and burn. At the end of the battery pack's useful life, it must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local, county, or state hazardous waste management authorities for information on recycling or disposal programs in your area. Some options that might be available are: municipal curbside collection, drop-off boxes at retailers, recycling collection centers, and mail-back programs. (llg/all-07/20/95)
