System 1230 Stereo (130-1250) Cassette Deck Faxback Doc. # 16397 Rack System Operation Use only normal or CrO2, high-quality tapes for recording. Your local Radio Shack store sells a complete selection of blank tapes. You can use your cassette deck for normal playback, continuous play, recording, or dubbing. This cassette deck also has Dolby B noise reduction, a fast-forward control, a rewind control, auto stop, and a tape counter. NOTES: Before you load a cassette, take up any tape slack by turning the tape hub with a pencil held at a slant. Tape slack can cause the tape to tangle in the record/playback mechanism. If you have played a cassette a number of times, the tape can become tightly wound on either hub. Before you play the tape again, restore normal tension by fast-forwarding the entire tape and then completely rewinding it. A tape that is wound too tightly can cause tape distortion, uneven tape motion, or even tape wrap- ups. Normal Playback Follow these steps to play a tape. 1. Press POWER.
