Stereo Speaker Selector (400-0130) Connections Faxback Doc. # 16557 Switch This switch, using non-shorting, widely-spaced contacts, allows convenient switching of stereo pairs of speakers, ease of hook-up and reliability for years. Follow the installation steps carefully to ensure proper operation. 1. Connect the leads from the LEFT speaker output of your amplifier/receiver to the switch terminals marked LEFT AMP + and -. To maintain proper phasing of speakers, assign one wire of the speaker leads to the - side. The wire may be red, or gold or have a ridge of the edge. 2. Connect the leads from the RIGHT speaker output to the screw terminals marked RIGHT AMP + and -. Make sure the same color or ridged wire also is assigned to the - terminal. 3. Connect your first pair of speakers, left and right, to the terminals marked LEFT SPK 1 and RIGHT SPK 1, respectively. Connect the colored or ridged wire from the common or negative terminal of the speaker to the proper screw of the switch. Repeat the connections for your second or remote set of speakers using the SPK 2 terminals for LEFT and RIGHT. NOTE: If speaker wire is stranded, tightly twist or solder the exposed wire. No strand must touch an adjacent speaker lead or terminal. Damage to your amplifier output could result. To Operate: After placing the switch in a convenient location, merely rotate the selector knob to choose which speaker set will operate. (ALL-08/17/95)
