1.  Rotate the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob clockwise until it clicks on.

2.  Adjust the TUNING control for the desired station.

3.  Adjust the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob for the desired sound level.

4.  Rotating the radio can improve reception.

5.  To turn the Radio off, rotate the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob counterclockwise 
    until it clocks off.

If reception becomes weak or distorted, the battery might need replacing.
We recommend our Cat. No. 23-553 for longest battery life.

CAUTION:  Never leave dead or weak batteries in this unit.  Even "leak-
          proof" batteries can leak damaging chemicals.  If you don't 
          plan to use your radio for a week or more, remove the battery.

EARPHONE

For private listening, plug an earphone into the earphone jack.  The 
internal speaker is automatically disconnected when the earphone is
plugged in.
