The Realistic SW-100 Multi-Band AC/DC Portable Radio is an example of
superior design and craftsmanship.

The following suggestions will help you care for your radio so you can 
enjoy it for years:

    Keep your radio dry.  If it does get wet, wipe it dry immediately. 
    Liquids might contain minerals that can corrode the electronic
    circuits.

    Use and store your radio only in normal temperature environments and
    avoid sudden temperature changes.  Temperature extremes can shorten the
    life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and distort or melt
    plastic parts.

    Handle your radio gently and carefully.  Dropping it can damage circuit
    boards and cause the SW-100 to work improperly.

    Keep your radio away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature wear
    of parts.

    Wipe your radio with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new. 
    Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to
    clean your radio.

    Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type.  Always
    remove old or weak batteries which can leak chemicals that destroy
    electronic circuits.

    If you are not going to use the SW-100 for several days, remove the 
    batteries.

    To conserve battery life, always turn power off when the SW-100 is not
    in use.

Modifying or tampering with your radio's internal components can cause a 
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty and void your FCC 
authorization to operate it.  If your radio is not performing as it should,
take it to your local Radio Shack store for assistance.

THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW

Your Realistic SW-100 Multi-Band AC/DC Portable Radio might cause
television or radio interference even when it is operating properly.  To
determine whether your portable radio is causing the interference, turn it
off.  If the interference goes away, your SW-100 is causing the
interference.

To try to eliminate the interference:

    Move your SW-100 away from the receiver having the interference.

    Contact your local Radio Shack store for assistance.

If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop
using your Radio Shack SW-100 Multi-Band AC/DC Portable Radio.
