CHANGING THE TUNING INCREMENT The System 735's tuner is preset to tune frequencies in increments of 10 kHz for AM and 200 kHz for FM, which is standard in the United States. In Europe and some other parts of the world, frequencies are broadcast in increments of 9 khz for AM and 50 khz for FM. If you use the System 735 in these countries, follow these steps to change the System 735's tuning increment. NOTE: If you change the System 735's tuning increment, the stereo erases any stations you stored in memory in the selected AM or FM band. 1. Select the band for which you want to change the tuning increment. 2. Turn off the power. 3. While pressing BAND SELECT, press POWER/STANDBY. The tuning increment changes to the other setting. AM: 520-1710 kHz (10 kHz steps) 522-1710 kHz (9 kHz steps) FM: 87.9-107.9 MHz (200 kHz steps) 87.5-108.0 MHz (50 khz steps) Repeat these steps to change the tuning increment back to the original setting.
