REALISTIC Stereo Three AM/FM Radio (120-1451) Operation Faxback Doc. # 18907 Be sure all equipment is connected as described previously and as shown in the illustration. Do not operate the Stereo Three without speakers properly connected. Extend the AC line cord to its full length (to assure maximum benefit from the FM Line Cord Antenna) and plug it into a source of 120 volts, 60 Hz AC power. AM Reception 1. Set the Selector switch to AM. 2. Turn VOLUME in a clockwise direction to turn power "on". 3. Adjust Tuning control to the station you want to listen to, as indicated on the slide rule tuning dial. 4. Adjust VOLUME, TONE and BALANCE for best sound. FM Reception 1. Set the Select or switch to FM. 2. Turn VOLUME in a clockwise direction to turn power "on". 3. Adjust Tuning to the desired station as indicated on the slide rule tuning dial. The built-in AFC circuit (automatic frequency control) will automatically lock-in the station for drift free reception. The Stereo Indicator Light will automatically light up when you are tuned to a station which is broadcasting a stereo signal. 4. Adjust VOLUME, TONE and BALANCE for the best sound. PHONO Operation 1. If you have cables connected from a Record Changer/Turntable to the PHONO jacks on the rear of the unit, set the Selector switch to PHONO. 2. Turn power "on" using the VOLUME control. 3. Place a disc on your Record Changer/Turntable and activate it. 4. Adjust VOLUME, TONE and BALANCE for best sound. NOTE: Only a Record Changer/Turntable with a ceramic cartridge will function with this system. TAPE Operation 1. If you have cables connected from a Tape Deck with an output of approximately 1/2-volt to the TAPE jacks on the rear of the unit, set the Selector switch to TAPE. 2. Turn power "On" using the VOLUME control. 3. Place a tape in your Tape Deck and activate it. 4. Adjust VOLUME, TONE and BALANCE for best sound. Stereo Headphone Operation For private listening and for a unique stereo listening experience, plug stereo headphones into the PHONES jack. This automatically disconnects the speakers and sound is heard only from the headphones. (SP/all-02/08/96)
