Chronomatic 7 (120-1457) Operation Faxback Doc. # 18919 SET TIME Set the correct time by pulling the rear panel knob out and turning it clockwise. SET ALARM Push the rear panel knob in and turn it clockwise to the time you want to wake up. FUNCTION SELECTOR OFF - Radio off. ON - Radio on. AUTO - Wake up to radio. ALARM - Wake up to radio, alarm will sound approximately 10 minutes after radio comes on. SLEEP TO MUSIC Turn the Function Selector to AUTO or ALARM (for wake up) or to OFF. Set the Timer Control for up to 60 minutes of music. At the end of the time you set, the radio will turn itself off. RADIO (Manual) Turn Function Selector to ON. Use SELECT switch to choose AM or FM. Tune desired station. Adjust VOLUME and TONE. To turn radio off, turn Function Selector to OFF. WAKE TO MUSIC Set the alarm to the time you want to get up. Find the station you want, set the Volume and Tone. Turn the Function Selector to AUTO. In the morning turn the Function Selector to OFF to silence the radio, or ON for continued operation. If you leave the switch at AUTO, the radio will turn itself off in an hour and be ready to wake you again the next morning. WAKE TO MUSIC AND ALARM Follow procedure above, but set Function Selector to ALARM. The alarm will sound approximately 10 minutes after the radio comes on. To silence the alarm turn the Function Control to any other position. SNOOZE BAR After the alarm has gone off, you can sleep an extra 10 minutes by pressing the Snooze Bar. At the end of 10 minutes the alarm will sound again. This can be repeated up to an hour, at which time, the alarm will no longer sound. ANTENNA The built-in antennas should be adequate in most areas. If FM reception is weak, connect any 300 ohm antenna to the rear panel terminals. Your Radio Shack salesman is familiar with reception conditions in your area. He can advise you on how to solve your problem. CAUTION: This radio is designed exclusively for AC operation. Do not operate it on a DC power source. Use lemon oil to polish the case. Wax will give a glossier finish but may cause a built-up. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean metal and plastic parts. Do NOT use solvents or abrasives. (/all-02/08/96)
