The Realistic AM/FM Stereo Mate Pocket Receiver is an example of superior
design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help you care
for the receiver so that you can enjoy it for years.

    Keep the receiver dry.  If it does get wet, wipe it dry immediately.
    Most liquids contain minerals that corrode electronic circuits.

    Use the receiver only in normal temperature environments.  Temperature
    extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries,
    and distort or melt plastic parts.

    Handle the receiver carefully.  Dropping it can damage its circuit
    boards and case and cause it to work improperly.

    Keep the receiver away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature
    wear of parts.

    Occasionally wipe the receiver with a dampened cloth to keep it
    looking new.  Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong
    detergents to clean the receiver.

    Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type.  Always
    remove old or weak batteries.  They can leak chemicals that can
    destroy electronic circuits.

    Modifying or tampering with the receiver's internal components can
    cause a malfunction, invalidate your receiver's warranty, and void
    your FCC authorization to operate the receiver.  If your receiver is
    not performing as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store
    where our personnel will assist you and arrange for service if needed.
