USING THE RADIO

Follow these steps to operate the radio.

1.  Rotate VOLUME to its minimum level.

2.  Slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to ON.

3.  Slide FM/AM to the desired band.

4.  Rotate TUNING to the desired station.

5.  Rotate VOLUME to a comfortable listening level.

6.  Turn off the radio by sliding ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to OFF.

    Note:  The AM antenna is built in.  Rotate the clock radio for best
           AM reception.  For the best FM reception, fully extend the
           AC power cord (which is the FM antenna).

USING THE SLEEP TIMER

The Sleep Timer lets you set the radio to play for up to 1 hour
59 minutes, and then automatically turn off.  This is useful if you
want the radio to play as you go to sleep.

To use the sleep timer, slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to OFF.

Note:  Slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to AUTO or ALARM if you want to use the
       sleep timer with the alarm function.

To play the radio for 59 minutes, press SLEEP once.  0:59 appears on the
display.  The radio begins to play for 59 minutes, then turns off.

To play the radio for more than 59 minutes, press and hold SLEEP.  0:59
appears on the display.  The radio begins to play.  While you hold
down SLEEP, press HOUR once.  The time on the display increases to the
maximum of 1 hour, 59 minutes.

To play the radio for less than 59 minutes, press and hold SLEEP.  0:59
appears on the display and the radio begins to play.  While you hold down
SLEEP, press MIN to decrease the amount of time.  The time on the display
decreases by one minute each time you press MIN.

Note:  Hold down MIN to rapidly decrease the playing time.

To turn off the radio before the preset sleep time has elapsed, press
SNOOZE.

USING THE BUZZER ALARM

To wake to the alarm, slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to ALARM.

At the alarm time, the alarm sounds.  It automatically turns off after
1 hour, 59 minutes.

To turn off the alarm before 1 hour, 59 minutes, slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON
to OFF.

To adjust the volume of the alarm sound, rotate VOLUME.

USING THE RADIO ALARM

To wake to music, slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to AUTO.

At the alarm time, the radio turns on.  It automatically turns off after
1 hour, 59 minutes.

To turn off the radio before 1 hour, 59 minutes, slide ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON
to OFF.

USING THE SNOOZE TIMER

If you want to turn off the alarm but you want it to sound again in a few
minutes, press SNOOZE after the radio or alarm comes on.  This silences
the radio or the alarm for about 9 minutes.  You can repeat this until you
set ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to OFF.

To reset the alarm to sound again at the alarm time next day, slide
ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to OFF.  Then slide it back to ALARM or AUTO.
