PLAYING THE TAPE

1.  Set FUNCTION to TAPE/RADIO OFF.

2.  Insert a cassette.

3.  Press < PLAY.

4.  Adjust volume.

To stop playing

When the unit is in use OPR/BATT (operation/battery) indicator lights up.
Intensity of glow shows battery level.

For private listening Connect an earphone to ? jack.

Tape operating buttons

remove a cassette                          square (twice)

RECORDING

1.  From radio
    From built-in microphone

2.  Insert a blank cassette
    Use only TYPE 1 (normal)
    tape.

3.  Press button REC.
    < PLAY is pressed automatically.

To stop recording
Press button STOP/EJECT.
When the tape reaches the end, button REC and
< PLAY are released automatically.

The recording level is adjusted automatically.  Adjusting the volume will
not affect the recording level.

To prevent accidental erasure, break off the tab corresponding to the side
which has been recorded.
Recording on that side will be protected.
