OPTIMUS Component Stereo System (130-1285) Installation Faxback Doc. # 32369 Back View NOTES: Properly make all connections as shown before you plug in and turn on the system. (See Faxback Doc. # 32374.) We recommend you place a cloth or other protective material under the system and the speakers when you place them on a desk or table with a natural oil or lacquer finish. 1. This system has an FM antenna built into its AC power cord. In most areas, this gives acceptable reception of all strong, local FM stations. However, for the best reception in rural areas or for weak or distant stations, you must use an external antenna. 2. Plug the left speaker's wire into the SPEAKER L jack on the back of the system. Plug the right speaker's wire into the SPEAKER R jack. Speaker Placement: For the best stereo separation, place the speakers 5 to 10 feet apart, facing you, and as close to ear level as possible. 3. Connect optional equipment to the INPUT-CD/AUX L and R jacks on the back of the system, if applicable. 4. Plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet. 5. Plug any optional equipment's AC power cords into the appropriate power outlets. Save the original packing material your system came in. These materials provide the best protection for the system when it is moved or should it become necessary to return it for service. (BR/EB 4/18/96)
