INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL'S BATTERIES

The remote control uses two AA batteries (not included).  For the longest
battery life, we recommend Radio Shack's alkaline batteries (Cat. No.
23-552).

To install the remote control's batteries, follow these steps:

1.  Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing the cover in the
    direction of the arrow.

2.  Insert the batteries according to the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked
    in the battery compartment.

3.  Replace the compartment cover.

USING THE RECEIVER'S AC POWER OUTLETS

WARNING: To avoid a fire hazard and to protect the receiver, do not connect
         a device with high power consumption (such as a heater, iron hair
         dryer, television, or refrigerator) to either outlet.

Unswitched Power Outlet

The receiver's UNSWITCHED AC power outlet provides power even when the
receiver is turned off.  This lets you use the outlet for an appliance that
needs continuous power, such as a VCR or clock.  This outlet provides a
maximum output of 240 watts.
