For FM signals, tune for the pointer to be in the center of the meter. ON THE REAR ANTENNAS Your Clarinette-96 incorporates built-in antennas for both AM and FM reception. In most cases, the INTERNAL FM ANTENNA will provide adequate FM and FM Stereo reception; however, in areas where the FM signals are weak (especially FM stereo), you can disconnect the INTERNAL FM ANTENNA and connect an external antenna to the FM ANTENNA terminals. You can use either the 300 Ohm screws (for twin-line lead-in wire) or the 75 Ohm screw and GND for coaxial type antenna lead-in wire. Your Radio Shack store has a complete selection of FM antennas and antenna accessories; stop by and talk with your salesperson - he or she will be able to give you advice on local reception conditions. The built-in AM antenna will provide suitable reception of the AM stations. OTHER EQUIPMENT We've made provision for connecting other inputs to your Stereo Compact System. If you want to play another Tuner, Tape Deck/Player, Radio, TV sound, etc., through your unit, you can make connections to the AUX INPUT jacks. Use R for Right Channel and L for Left Channel. AUX function button must be pushed in. To make recordings of signals processed through your Clarinette-96 (Phono, AM or FM, or Cassette) you can connect a Tape Recorder to the TAPE OUTPUT jacks.
