System 713 (130-1260) Operation Faxback Doc. # 7825 Follow these steps to operate the System 713. 1. Turn VOLUME to MIN. 2. Press POWER to turn on the system. The TAPE indicator lights. Press TUNER, CD, or AUX to select another audio source. To listen to the radio, set BAND to FM or AM and adjust TUNING to select the desired station. Notes: A built-in ferrite antenna is used for AM reception. You may need to move the system for the best AM reception. The FM STEREO indicator lights to show FM reception. If the FM reception is weak, press in HI SPEED DUBBING/FM MONO/BEAT CUT to improve the reception. The FM STEREO indicator goes off, and the sound is heard in mono, but the reception improves. 3. Rotate VOLUME to a comfortable listening level. Note: Press in E-BASS to enhance the bass. 4. Adjust BALANCE until the sound comes from the left and right speakers equally. 5. Adjust the FIVE-BAND FREQUENCY EQUALIZER to suit your room's acoustics and your personal taste. See "Using the FIVE-BAND FREQUENCY EQUALIZER." Note: E-BASS, BALANCE, and the FIVE-BAND FREQUENCY EQUALIZER affect the sound whether you play the radio, a cassette, a CD, or the auxiliary unit. (LB/all-10/21/94)
