Speaker System

Each speaker requires two C batteries.  For long life and maximum
performance we recommend alkaline batteries (Radio Shack Cat. No.
230-0551).

1.  To remove the battery compartment cover, press the lock and remove the
    cover.

2.  Insert the batteries, observing the polarity (+ and -).

3.  Replace the cover.

NOTE:  When the battery indicator becomes dim, replace the batteries.

USING AC POWER

You can connect the Portable Stereo Speaker System to a standard AC outlet
using an optional Radio Shack 9-volt DC adapter (Cat. No. 273-1651). 
Connect the adapter to the speaker system's DC 6V jack.  Then, connect the
wall-plug end of the adapter to a standard AC outlet.  (This connection
automatically disconnects the batteries.)  Do not worry about the voltage,
because the built-in regulator in this system converts the 9-volt power
supply the 6 volts.  However, do not use an adapter other than the one
recommended.  Using a different adapter could damage the speaker system.
