Speaker System

1.  You can use the speakers locked together.  But separating the speakers
    creates a better stereo effect.

2.  Insert the speaker's 1/8-inch mini plug into your player's headphone
    jack.

3.  Slide the speaker system's AMPLIFIER IN/OUT switch to the IN position.
    The POWER indicator lights.  (If you want to use the speakers without
    using the built-in amplifier, leave the switch in the OUT position.)

4.  Switch on your personal stereo or portable CD player.  Be sure the
    volume control is at minimum.

5.  Then, turn the volume to the desired level.

6.  Slide the BASS and TREBLE switches to BOOST position according to your
    listening preference.
