CONNECTING THE SPEAKERS

Follow these steps to connect the speaker system to your portable audio
source.

1.  Set the speaker system's DIRECT OFF/AMP ON switch on the back panel to
    DIRECT OFF.

    NOTE:  Set the power switch of the audio source to off and the volume
           control to its minimum level.

2.  Insert the speaker system's 1/8-inch phono plug into the audio
    source's headphone jack.  Then plug the other end of the 1/8-inch
    phono plug into the system's jacks.

    NOTES:  Some audio sources might have a line out, CD out, or similar
            jack.  You can use this jack instead of the headphone jack.

            If the jack on the audio source is 1/4-inch, you will need an
            adapter plug, such as Cat. No. 274-0367.
