Follow these steps to operate your speaker system.

1.  Set DIRECT OFF/AMP ON to AMP ON and turn on the audio source.

2.  Adjust the audio source's VOLUME control to a moderate level and
    adjust the speaker system's VOLUME control to a comfortable listening
    level.

    CAUTION:  Setting the audio source's volume too high can produce sound
              distortion or damage the system's speakers.

3.  Press down BBS (BASS BOOST SYSTEM) to enhance the bass effect.  Leave
    BBS up for normal bass effect.

4.  To turn off the speaker system, set DIRECT OFF/AMP ON to DIRECT OFF. 
    Turn off the audio source also.

    NOTE:  If the audio source stops playing for approximately 1 minute,
           the speaker system enters a standby mode and automatically
           turns itself off.  The POWER indicator goes off.  If the audio
           source resumes playing, the system automatically turns itself
           on.  The POWER indicator on the front panel lights.  Set the
           DIRECT OFF/AMP ON switch to DIRECT OFF to turn the speaker
           system off.

BYPASSING THE AMPLIFIER

You can bypass the amplifier to play the audio source through the speaker.

Follow these steps to bypass the amplifier.

1.  Set DIRECT OFF/AMP ON to DIRECT OFF.

2.  Turn on the audio source and adjust the volume to a comfortable
    listening level.
