It meets UL and FCC requirements and complies with safety performance standards of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Warnings: The CD changer employs a laser light beam. Do not remove the cover or attempt to service this device, due to possible eye injury. The use of controls, adjustments, or procedures other than those specified herein might result in hazardous radiation exposure. The Optimus System 727 is a versatile, high quality sound system that combines a three-disc automatic CD changer, precision AM/FM stereo digital tuner, three-preset frequency equalizer, dual-cassette deck, and even a sing-along karaoke feature in one compact system. The built-in 16 watts- per-channel amplifier produces crisp, clear sound even at high volume levels. You can operate many of the System 727's functions with the supplied remote control. The supplied speakers let you immediately begin using your system. CD CHANGER 3-Disc Automatic CD Changer - lets you load and play up to three CDs. Audible Search - lets you rapidly play a CD in either direction to locate a desired section of a track. Direct Selection Play - lets you select any track from the loaded CDs. Sequence Track Programming - lets you program up to 30 tracks to play in any order you choose. Repeat Play - automatically repeats a single track, all tracks on a single CD, all CDs in the CD compartment, or a programmed sequence. Digital Display - shows you the current CD and track number, and the total or elapsed time of the current track. CD Edit Recording - selects the CD tracks that will fit on a cassette tape side, then records them onto the cassette tape. 3-inch CD Compatible - lets you use 5-inch or 3-inch CDs. STEREO TUNER Digital Synthesized Tuning - eliminates tuning drift by locking the tuner on the selected frequency. Preset Tuning Memories - let you store up to 32 of your favorite stations for quick tuning. 3-Preset Frequency Equalizer - lets you select any of three preset sound character curves to adjust the sound to your preference and your room's unique acoustics. T-Bass - lets you emphasize the low-bass sounds during low-volume listening. Motorized Volume Control - turns the volume control's knob on the front panel when you adjust the volume using the remote control. DUAL CASSETTE DECK High-Speed Tape Dubbing - lets you start copying tapes with the touch of a few buttons. Consecutive Play - plays two tapes, one after the other. KARAOKE Microphone Mixing - lets you sing along with your favorite recordings, songs played over a radio station, or karaoke audio tapes (not supplied). Multiplex - lets you use special audio CDs or cassette tapes to substitute your own voice for the existing vocals, then listen to the result or record it to play back later. Voice Canceller - lets you substitute your own voice for existing vocals in many CDs, cassette tapes, or broadcasts, then listen to the result or record it to play back later. Note: You need two AA batteries (not supplied) to power the remote control. Caution: Most material on compact discs or pre-recorded tapes is copyrighted. It is a violation of copyright laws to duplicate copyrighted material. Duplication of copyrighted material could result in fines and/or imprisonment. THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW This equipment complies with the limits for a Class B digital device as specified in Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits provide reasonable protection against radio and TV interference in a residential area. However, your equipment might cause radio or TV interference even when it is operating properly. To eliminate interference, you can try one or more of the following corrective measures: Reorient or relocate the radio or TV's receiving antenna. Increase the distance between the System 727 and the radio or TV. Connect your System 727 to an AC outlet that is on a different electrical circuit from either the radio or TV's receiver. Consult your local Radio Shack store if the problem still exists. If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using the System 727.
