The Radio Shack Micro-17 Voice-Activated Microcassette Tape Recorder is
perfect for quick note-taking.  You can use it to record lectures,
interviews, meetings, and speeches.  Activate the recording mechanism
manually or use the special voice actuated circuitry (VOX).  The
Micro-17's compact design lets you take it almost anywhere.

It's features include:

        Voice Actuation (VOX) - lets you set the recorder to automatically
                                record only when it detects sound, saving
                                room on your microcassette tape and
                                conserving battery power.

                    Fast Play - lets you play back a tape about 30 percent
                                faster than normal speed, so you can
                                quickly listen to the entire tape or
                                rapidly find a specific passage on the
                                tape.

                   Cue/Review - lets you hear a recording as you
                                fast-forward or rewind a tape so you
                                can quickly find a specific passage on
                                the tape.

              Two Tape Speeds - let you record at a slow speed to store
                                twice as much information on a tape, or at
                                normal speed for better sound quality.

                    Auto-Stop - automatically stops the tape when it
                                reaches the end to reduce wear on your
                                tape and the microcassette recorder.

                 Tape Counter - helps you locate a specific section of a
                                tape.

      Automatic Level Control - automatically sets the proper recording
                                level.

Built-in Condenser Microphone - lets you record without using an external
                                microphone.

                     MIC Jack - lets you connect an external microphone
                                (not supplied, so you can move the
                                microphone closer to the sound source.

                     EAR Jack - lets you connect the supplied earphone so
                                you can listen in privacy.

          Three Power Options - you can power the Micro-17 from internal
                                batteries, standard AC power (with an
                                optional AC adapter), or your vehicle's
                                cigarette-lighter socket (with an optional
                                DC adapter).

              AC Bias Circuit - ensures a high signal-to-noise ratio with
                                low distortion.
