CASSETTE PLAYER OPERATION

LOADING A TAPE

1.  Pull open the cassette compartment door.

2.  Insert a tape into the cassette guides.  Its open edge should face up,
    and the side you want to play should face out.

3.  Close the cassette compartment door.

PLAYING A TAPE

1.  Set VOLUME to its lowest setting.

2.  Plug in the headphones.

3.  Press PLAY.

4.  Adjust VOLUME to a comfortable listening level.

5.  Set BASS BOOST to ON for enhanced bass.

Press DIRECTION to change the tape's direction.  The SCP-51 can play a
cassette tape from the left reel to the right or from right to left.  When
you load a cassette tape and press PLAY, the SCP-51 starts playing in the
direction it played the last time it played a cassette tape.

When the tape reaches its end, the direction changes and the SCP-51 plays
the other side of the tape.

Press STOP to stop play.  Otherwise the tape continuously plays.

To fast forward or rewind the cassette tape, press <<- or ->>.  The button
locks, and the tape fast forwards or rewinds until it reaches the end of
the tape or you press STOP.
