The Realistic CTR-83 AM/FM Mono Radio Cassette Recorder is an example of
superior design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help
you care for the product so that you can enjoy it for years.

    Keep the radio/recorder dry.  If it does get wet, wipe it dry
    immediately.  Liquids contain minerals that can corrode the electronic
    circuits.

    Use and store the radio/recorder only in normal temperature
    environments.  High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic
    devices, damage batteries, and distort or melt plastic parts.

    Handle the radio/recorder gently and carefully.  Dropping it can
    damage circuit boards and can cause the product to work improperly.

    Wipe the radio/recorder with a dampened cloth occasionally to keep it
    looking new, do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong
    detergents to clean the products.

    Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type.  Always
    remove old or weak batteries.  They can leak damaging chemicals that
    destroy electronic circuits.

Modifying or tampering with the product's internal components can cause
a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty.  If the product is not
performing as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store.  Our
personnel can assist you and arrange for service of needed.
