Chronomatic-303 (120-1603) Installation Faxback Doc. # 9975 CONNECTING TO POWER Plug the clock's power cord into a standard AC outlet. 12:00 flashes on the display until you set the time (see "Setting the Time" found in Faxback Doc. # 9976). Caution: To prevent electric shock, the plug's blades are polarized and fit only one way. If the plug will not fit easily turn it over and try again. Do not force it. INSTALLING A BACKUP BATTERY You can install a 9-volt battery for back-up power. We recommend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553. The backup battery powers the clock for at least 8 hours, and sounds the alarm (at the set time) for at least 10 minutes. Note: To prevent unnecessary battery drain, be sure to plug the clock's power cord into a standard AC power outlet before you install the battery. To install the battery, snap the battery terminals onto the terminal contacts. Then insert the battery into the compartment. (LB/all-03/14/95)
