Enclosures

Follow these steps to install speaker elements in your enclosures and
connect the speakers to your stereo.

Use 18-gauge speaker wire (Cat. No. 278-1602) to connect the speaker's
terminals to the terminals inside the enclosure.

1.  Connect the speaker's positive terminal (usually marked with a red dot
    or a +) to the enclosure's red terminal.

2.  Connect the speaker's negative terminal (usually marked with a - or
    unmarked) to the enclosure's black terminal.

3.  Insert the speaker into the opening, magnet first. Center the speaker
    in the opening.

4.  Secure the speaker to the enclosure using wood screws (not supplied).

5.  If the speaker includes a grille, attach the grille according to the
    instructions that came with the speaker.

6.  Connect the stereo's speaker wires to the spring terminals on the back
    of the enclosure. Be sure you connect the system's positive and
    negative wires to the corresponding positive (red) and negative
    (black) terminals.

7.  Repeat Steps 1 - 5 for the other speaker.
