Trunk Mount Amplifier (120-1975/A) Operation Faxback Doc. # 17491 TURNING ON THE AMPLIFIER Set your vehicle's ignition to the ON or ACC (accessory) position, then turn on your stereo system. The amplifier automatically turns on and the POWER indicator lights. CAUTION: Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended, high- volume listening can lead to permanent hearing loss. Always start by setting the volume to the lowest level possible before you begin listening. Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over a period of time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might still damage your hearing. NOTE: After you make all the connections and reconnect the battery terminal, remember to reset the vehicle's and radio's clock, the radio's digital tuner memories, and other timer/memory devices. SETTING THE INPUT LEVEL CONTROL LEVEL lets you adjust the level of the audio signals that enter the amplifier. For the best performance, follow these steps to adjust the input level. 1. Using a flatblade screwdriver, turn LEVEL fully counterclockwise. 2. Set the stereo's volume control to about one-third of its full range. 3. Turn LEVEL clockwise until the stereo system's volume is at the maximum desired level. 4. Adjust the stereo's system's volume control to a comfortable listening level. (CS/all-10/23/95)
