If the sound driver, TDACWAVE.DRV, has not already been installed into Windows, you can install it as described in this section. Once the sound driver is installed, you can assign sounds to Windows events as desired. Refer to a Windows reference manual for information on assigning sounds to events. ┌─────────────────────────────┐ │Installing The Sound Driver: │ └─────────────────────────────┘ To install the sound driver: 1. Select Control Panel from the Windows Main Group. 2. Select the Drivers icon from the Control Panel. 3. Click on Add. A list of choices is displayed. 4. Select Unlisted or Updated Driver. Click on OK. The Install Driver window appears, prompting you to insert the diskette containing the driver. 5. Insert the Utilities & VGA Drivers disk into Drive A, and click on OK. 6. Select Tandy DAC Wave, and click on OK. 7. Click on Restart Now to load the sound driver. Note: The sound driver uses Interrupt Request (IRQ) 7 and configures the I/O port in the range 1E4h-1E7h. ┌────────────────────────────────────┐ │Disabling Sound For Windows Events: │ └────────────────────────────────────┘ Follow these steps to disable the sounds assigned to your Windows events. 1.
