The proper keyboard selection to make is "Enhanced 101 or 102 Key US and non US Keyboards". America OnLine Running MS Windows in enhanced mode with America Online causes an error message. You may choose to run America OnLine within MS-DOS from the command prompt and not from Windows; however, if you access America Online from Windows, you must run Windows in standard mode. To run America Online from Windows without getting the error message, follow these steps: 1. Use the win /s command at the MS-DOS prompt to run Windows in standard mode. 2. Access America Online by double clicking on the MS-DOS icon from the Main Group Window. 3. At the MS-DOS prompt, type AOL and press ENTER to begin your America Online session.
