TANDY 1000 RSX (250-1454/55) CMOS Battery Faxback Doc. # 1333 The real-time clock is a battery-backed memory chip that contains the time and date information. you will occasionally need to replace the battery (23-162). The CMOS battery should last at least three years with normal use. If it fails, the time and date information is displayed inaccurately. The battery is located on the main logic board, in front of the hard drive. Follow these steps if you choose to replace the battery yourself: 1. Gently lift the battery clip. 2. Remove the old battery from the battery holder. 3. Place the new battery in the battery holder. Be sure to position the battery with the positive side (+) up.
