Carefully read the instruction in this section before installing the coprocessor. Removal of the coprocessor requires a special extraction tool. Additional instructions might be included with the coprocessor. If you choose not to install the coprocessor yourself, a trained technician at a Radio Shack Service Center can install it for you. CAUTION: Before handling electrical components touch a grounded metal object to release any static electrical charge from your body. To install a coprocessor: 1. Orient a coprocessor so that the dot on the notched corner aligns with Pin Socket 1. Correct orientation of the Intel 80387 coprocessor will leave an empty row of socket holes around the coprocessor. 2. Take care not to bend or touch the metal pins. When you are certain the coprocessor is correctly oriented, press the coprocessor into the socket. Do not attempt to close the gap between the coprocessor and the socket. Pressing the coprocessor too far into the socket can damage the coprocessor or the socket. (/tmc-05/06/95)
