ENERGY STAR MONITOR SUPPORT

The Tandy 4100 MT provides support for Energy Star monitors in Windows.  To
enable this feature, install the ATI video drivers and the FlexDesk
software.  Copy the ATIKEY.EXE and ATIKEY.DLL files from the Video Driver
disk to C:\WINDOWS.  Edit WIN.INI and add the following line to the [Mach]
section:

           DPMSFeature=on 

This adds a DPMS button to the Advanced screen in FlexDesk which displays
the dialog box.  Check the DPMS Enabled box and specify the timeouts.

The Tandy VGM-460, VGM-470, and VGM-500 monitors are compatible with ATI
VESA Display Power Management software under Windows.

Note that the System Timeout option in the Power Conservation section of
the BIOS System Setup does not blank Energy Star monitors.  This feature is
only compatible with selected AST monitors.
