Additional Jumpers Default Optional Setting Function E12 Connected Disconnected Power-On LED E13 Connected Disconnected Hard Drive Active LED SETTING VIDEO JUMPERS The system board contains jumpers that you can use to configure your computer's display mode (for jumper locations, see the illustration in the layout document). The system is set so you can connect your monitor to the built-in VGA connector. The system will also recognize most add-in video adapters, should you prefer to use one. Disable the built-in VGA only if you install an add-in adapter and the system does not recognize it. To disable the built-in VGA, locate jumper E3 on the system board. Then, remove the jumper block from pins 1 and 2 (Ie. parked). If you have disabled the built-in VGA connector and intend to install a monochrome, rather than color, display adapter as the primary video adapter, you must set jumper E4. Locate jumper E4 on the system board and set the jumper block on pins 1 and 2. (JSS/tmc-03/31/95)
