Legend 100CD (250-0407) Faxworks 3.0 Faxback Doc. # 15003 QUICK SETUP (The screens you will encounter to quickly setup FaxWorks) Banner - You will define the banner with information such as your name, fax number, company, time, and date that will be printed at the top of each fax page. Phone Line - You will select the type of phone line, Tone or Pulse, at this screen. Station I.D. - Type your fax number or name in the Station I.D. field Current Area Code - Enter your area code in the Current Area Code field. Local Dial Prefix - If your office requires a prefix number to get an outside line, enter it here. Leave this field blank if you do not need a dial prefix to access an outside line. Long Distance Prefix - You might need to dial 9 followed by a 1 to make a long distance call. For example: 9,1 would be entered in this field. International Prefix - If you need to dial an international access number, you can enter a 9,011 for example, in this field. If you don't need an outside line first, just put 011 in this field. Country Code - Enter your country code in the Current Country Code field. 1 is the default for the USA. DIAGNOSTIC As a part of the set up program, FaxWorks performs a diagnostic on your modem. You may hear a dialtone for an extended period of time during this test. (Remember, the fax/modem is set for COM1) If the diagnostic is successful, the Registration Box appears. You can register electronically at that time. HELP From the Help Pull-Down menu there is an option called Menu Commands that will allow you to access information about any topic in FaxWorks. Also, under the Help Pull-Down menu is an option for Cue Cards that are pop-up cards that display information about buttons, option, and commands in FaxWorks. (ABO/all-04/19/95)
