Tandy 3810 HD (250-3571) MS-DOS Version 6 Faxback Doc. # 16702 Workarounds The 3810 and MS-DOS version 6 has a few known problems. Here are the problems and their workarounds. 1. When you run the MEMMAKER command, it will report that you need a 386 system or better. In order to correct this, you can go into the CMOS setup for your computer, and change the option Shadow RAM [Y] or [N] to [N] for NO. If the Shadow RAM is set to [Y] for yes, memmaker will not run due to the message you receive regarding a 386 processor. 2. While running the MSBACKUP utility, the compatibility test will fail. In order to avoid this, you will need to go into the CMOS setup for your computer, and change the option of floppy standby from ON to OFF. (ABO/all-08/24/95)
