According to informed sources, IBM has said that the Rapid Resume feature
is incompatible with Drivespace 3.  If you want to use Drivespace 3, you
will have to disable Rapid Resume.  The way, according to IBM, to do that
on boot, is to hold both mouse buttons down at the same time.

When the IBM Aptiva M51 system is stuck in a program called Launch Pad,
there is only way to get out of it.  This is because the Rapid Resume
Manager is enabled.

Hold down both buttons on the mouse, and power the IBM Aptiva on.  When the
computer system beeps, let up on the mouse buttons.  This should take the
system to a 'Safe Mode' option.  Select the option to go to a C:\> prompt. 
The user needs to make a recovery boot disk at this point using the MPEG
disk.  Follow the instructions from the MPEG disk.  Once the recovery
disk is made, use it to boot the system and format the drive.  Then, reload
the software.
