AST Advantage! 6066d  (250-0404/412) Adding a Second    Faxback Doc. # 3532
                                      Hard Drive

A second IDE hard drive can not be added to the 6066d as the CD-ROM is the
second IDE device.  A SCSI hard drive controller can be added as a second
hard drive.

NOTE:  When the computer reboots, press F5 when the prompt "Starting MS-
       DOS" appears.  This will bypass the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT,
       thus not starting Windows/AST Works.

Prepare the second hard drive by running the FDISK and FORMAT.  (For more
help on these commands, refer to the MS-DOS manual included with the
computer.)

The CD-ROM is now drive  E.  In order for certain parts to the software to
run, it is necessary to edit any files that refer to D: instead of E:.

Any INI files with references to drive ID D: or d: must be changed to E:.
Also any icon properties that refer to programs on your CD-ROM must be
changed as well.
