Deluxe Ni-CAD Battery (230-0134) Operation Faxback Doc. # 15202 Charger 1. Open the transparent cover and install the batteries to be charged. The chambers adjust automatically to the different sizes of batteries. 9-volt batteries snap into the special connectors between the large chambers. Be sure to observe proper polarity (+ and -). Failure to do so can damage the charger and/or batteries. Only charge nickel-cadmium batteries (D, C, AA, 9V) in the battery charger. 2. Use the four large chambers to charge 2, 4, 6 or 8 batteries of sizes AA, C and D. Place two batteries into each of the large chambers. Make sure that the two batteries are the same size and are facing the correct direction. Do not attempt to charge only one battery or two different sizes of batteries in the large chambers. Use the two small chambers to charge one battery each. You can charge either two different sizes or the same size of AA, C or D batteries. Use the three 9-volt terminals located between the large chambers to charge 1, 2 or 3 9V batteries at once. Remember not to use the large chamber with C or D batteries at the same time that you are charging 9-volt batteries. 3. Close the cover. Keep the cover closed when charger is operating. 4. Plug the battery charger into a standard AC outlet (120V, 60Hz). Each charging indicator LED lights when its respective chamber is in use. When all the chambers are in use, six charging indicators will light. They remain lighted even after the batteries are charged. Make sure the indicators are lighted, or the battery is not charging. 5. After charging your batteries, unplug the charger and remove the batteries. Store the charger carefully until its next use. A full charge will take 14-16 hours; however, the batteries will not be damaged by overcharging. The recharged batteries can be used in the same manner as dry cells. (br/all-05/08/95)
